Realizou-se em 6 de Julho de 2006 em Mustiala, Finlandia, a Monográfica da Associação Sighthound Finlandesa, integrando a Especial do Podengo Português, equivalente à Monográfica da Raça, levada a cabo pela Associação Finlandesa do podengo Português.
Inscreveram-se 43 Podengos nas 3 variedades existentes naquele país, médio cerdoso e pequeno liso e cerdoso. O juiz foi Vítor veiga (PT), presidente do Clube Português do Podengo e reputado juiz a autor sobe a raça.
Foi este ano estabelecido pela primeira vez um novo troféu: BIB-Podengo da Monográfica, escolhido de entre os vencedores de cada variedade. O vencedor da Monográfica 2006 foi o Podengo Médio Cerdoso fêmea “Espora de Veiros”, também segunda no BIS nas finais do Finnish Sighthound Special Show.
Depois dos julgamentos realizou-se um picnic que incçuíu uma animada sessão de esclarecimento com Vítor Veiga sobre diversos aspectos da raça, nomeadamente o novo estalão do Podengo.

Took place on July 6, 2006 in Mustiala, Finland the Finnish Sighthound Special Show, which is also the Podengo Special from the Portuguese Podengo Association of Finland show with 43 entries in small smooth and wire and medium wire. 
The Portuguese Podengo Club president Mr. Vitor Veiga was judging the Podengos. The Portuguese Podengo Association of Finland had also established a new trophy, the BIS-Podengo of the Specialty Show, which was awarded the first time in this event. It 
will always be given to the best of the three breeds in Finland, which are ppm w-h, ppp s-h and w-h. The first winner “BIS-Podengo” was Espora de Veiros, a ppm bitch. She was also placed as BOG-1 (best group1- wire medium), and get 2nd place on BIS from the Sighthound Special Show final.
After the rings there where a picnic where was possible to discuss several breed aspects with Mr. Vitor Veiga, and members could present questions. This event gives a lot of knowledge of the Podengos and illuminated profoundly the new breed standard.
