Especializada de Raças Mediterrânicas - Alemanha 2008
Mediterranean Breeds Annual Speciality Germany 2008


Realizou-se a 10 de Maio a exposição anual especializada de raças mediterrânicas, organizada pelo o Clube Alemão que congrega as raças Podengo Português, Pharaoh Hound, Podengo Ibicenco, Podengo Canario e Cirneco dell’Etna, denominado Thuringia Sighthound Club.
Verificaram-se 39 presenças:  22 Pharaoh Hound, 3 Podengo Ibicenco, 1 Podengo Canario e 1 Cirneco dell’Etna. Inscreveram-se 12 Podengos Portugueses (7 pequenos lisos, 1 pequeno cerdoso, 2 médios lisos e 2 médios cerdosos). 
A juíza foi Gabriele Schröter da Alemanha.
O próximo encontro anual está marcado para 4 de Abril de 2009
A The next “Jahressiegerausstellung” will take place on 4th April 2009 em Schwarzenfeld, na Baviera, com Marliese Müller da Suiça como juíza. 


Atavio o Caçador de Coelho

The 2008 joint annual speciality of the German Sighthoundclub (DWZRV) for the breeds Podengo Português, Kelb tal-Fenek (Pharaoh Hound), Podenco Ibicenco, Podenco Canario and Cirneco dell’Etna took place on 10th May 2008 in Tüttleben, near Gotha (Thuringia). 
There were 39 entries, among them 22 Pharaoh Hounds, 7 Podengo Português Pequeno Smooth, 1 Podengo Português Pequeno Wire, 2 Podengo Português Medio Smooth, 2 Podengo Português Medio Wire, 3 Podenco Ibicenco Smooth, 1 Podenco Canario and 1 Cirneco dell’Etna. 
The Thuringia Sighthound Club had spared no efforts to create a Mediterranean atmosphere on his showground, and this was even intensified by the beautiful spring weather. There are, however, a lot of trees which have been planted many years ago, when this place (like whole Thuringia) was still a part of the German Democratic Republic. So everybody was able to find a nice spot in the shadow both for him/herself and for the dogs. 
The judge for all Mediterranean Breeds was Gabriele Schröter from Germany, who is attached to the breeds both as an owner and a judge since many years. 
Many thanks to the Thuringia Sighthound Club for organising such a nice show. We will surely consider Tüttleben as a location for another annual speciality in the future. The next “Jahressiegerausstellung” will take place on 4th April 2009 in Schwarzenfeld/Bavaria (North of Regensburg) with Marliese Müller from Switzerland judging.
